Surgery Update

Brady's surgery has been slated for Monday, February 9; plus we get the added bonus of spending all day Friday, February 6 at the hospital (7:30 a.m. start time!) for pre-op. I also added a Genetics appointment for that day, switched it from January since we were going to be there anyway.

I have to call the cardiologist and ask him a few questions, because I am being asked questions I don't have the answer to! It was a surgery we knew was going to happen, he told us we were having it, so I was all set. We got our summary letter he always sends and there's a few more things they are "concerned" about that I don't recall talking about... or perhaps we did.... even with my mother there it's all info way over my head. Brady has his weight check on Wednesday so I may even ask her a few questions.

I always feel like that when I get any doctor's report...I swear they just tell you major stuff and then figure you'll read the report later. I will be praying a million prayers for your family espeically you and Brady. He is the most beautiful boy on Earth! Love and Hugs

I am thinking of you and your family. I know that I have found out much for information from the doctor's reports than I ever got from the doctors themselves. My I just miss it. I did have one docotr tell me that they just go over the basics unless you tell them to go into great detail, it's just faster and most people don't want to know anyway. Most people are okay with "this is what we will do", and parents say "do it"...they really don't look any further.I have called and had questions after appointments and they have always been great about answering them.
Love ya,

We'll be missing you again, by a couple days. Michaela's in Nephrology on the 4th. But I'm scheduled to be there on the 9th to discuss treatment options, if you're up for company.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do before, during, or after the surgery. I remember Clare's all too well, and that hospital stay is so much fun!

We can't wait to see you next week!
