Another brick wall....

So here we go again... another brick wall. We're trying to get the splints for Brady's hands and a strap for his glasses. After going a couple different avenues, we are still empty-handed, no pun intended. We went to a very distinguished medical pharmacy today and the technician spent quite a bit of time trying to find our items. Nope. Nothing small enough or big enough.

I am pretty sure that Children's Hospital should have what I'm looking for - I was just trying to escape from going there in August since Brady and I will be there five times in September. September is our "annual" visits month, so we are seeing everyone and having an echo -- all on different days, of course. So tomorrow I will make calls to the orthopedist and opthomologist to find my best course of action.

On a sidenote - we're on Day 4 of Glycolax (sp?) which is prescription strength Miralax. We've been going great (ha - no pun intended). I've noticed he doesn't have that afternoon crying moment we've had for the past couple weeks, so now I feel bad knowing he was uncomfortable probably!

Bugger you have to go back to the childrens hospital though, guess it cant be helped. At least he probably isnt old enogh to recognise it yet! (Jaiden screams just driving past the doctors these days, and he doesnt even have many medical issues!)Great to hear Brady is feeling better in the afternoons now!

Brady is just getting cuter every day:)

Glad to hear the Miralax is working. Ava has been on that stuff since she was about a month old--twice a day, every day. Works like a charm. It certainly makes for a much more comfortable baby.

Good luck with the eyeglass strap. My friend purchased her little guy's strap at Wal-Mart, of all places. But if Brady is anything like Ava, most straps are too big. I will keep my eyes and ears open for you.

Take care!

No gas!! I can relate, Avery has problems with gas and goes on crying jags for what sometimes we think as "no reason". I am still learning how to deal with it so don't feel bad.

We are now on Miralax as well and Daven seems to be taking to it nicely. I hope this new drug continues to help Brady. There is nothing like a scream from a constipated baby. Ugh, we dealt with that from Daven for over a year. Poor baby!

Yea for the Glycolax. It's surprising how such a seemingly little thing can affect a child's whole day. Keep it coming, Brady! Ha ha ha...

E-mail me and let me know when you are going to be at Children's. We are there the 13-15 for sure for Clare's cath.
