It's been a whirlwind week over here - Brady has moved to new levels!
Mr. Brady attempted to crawl by himself today! :):) It was just once, but he did it without prodding and without help. I know he still has mucho work, but just seeing that he is attempting and getting it is such a happy time.
Yesterday, Vikki, his ST, was working with him on sounds. She was doing the "sss" and saying "sun"... he dropped his chin, stared at her, then said "sun" in the total deep, gruff voice like the little boy in "The Shining" when he was saying "red rum" (http://www.houseofhorrors.com/redrum.wav). We almost fell over. I asked her, was he saying "sun" like he was saying Vikki had a "sunny" personality? She thought he could be saying "son" like he is the son. My mother thinks he might have been in the middle of calling us a name -- "son of a &%$#". We know he was mimicking, but that is big over here too. Any of it works for me!

- Tom and I were married in 1995 and had our first son Michael in 1998. Our second son Brady was born in 2005. Within the first month, he was suspected to have William's Syndrome, a genetic condition. Official diagnosis came three months later.

Sounds like Brady is on the upswing right now. Wow, just seeing hints of these things make your heart soar, doesn't it? You have been waiting for so long. The great news is this, the stronger his core body strength gets, and crawling will do it, will led to strengthening of his diaphragm to speak, and to better eating. This is just the cusp of these many things to follow Kerry!

Mimicking is HUGE! Yea, Brady! And the crawling is awesome. I loved the photo of Brady and Coleman together - such cuties.
We will have to get together after the new year!
That is so great! Way to go Brady :) Wouldn't it be awesome if he would be crawling over the place by Christmas? What a gift that would be!!

those are both awsome things to hear...it's so fun watching them work towards their milestones and then have such sweet success, the crawling probably won't be too far now!

Erik does the "redrum" thing, too. Or there's always the time he put a toy hardhat over his face and said, "Hello, Clarice" a la Silence of the Lambs in front of his shocked therapist.
I'm so happy for you guys. Brady is making a lot of progress!
